“But as it is written, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:9, 10)
Yesterday the Spirit of God revealed a few "deep things" to us through our celebrating the entering adulthood of two young women . It seemed to preview something our Father has waiting for all of us who love Him. The beloved people who live in one of the many places our Father’s feet has touched the ground, assembled to honor and witness two young maidens entering into womanhood. For the next twelve and a half hours our Master would shower His love and praises on these two beloved young women through His gathered people.
We have been asked many times by people on the outside if the love that drew us together is still alive. It is more than just alive. It reigns in our hearts. If they could have witnessed the twelve and a half hours happening yesterday, they would have understood. It is not only alive but has exponentially grown and matured.
As the young women walked between their older sisters, they found this living path leading them to a great banqueting hall where food and gifts awaited. For the next 11 hours there would be a pouring out of gifts and experiences all designed to bring them into that shared fellowship. Prophesies, wisdom, experiential knowledge, adoration, laughter and love flowed till all were filled to overflowing.
It has been noted that each Village passage is for all of us and not just the people it focuses on. Perhaps it is through the giving and loving that all of us are called to do daily that causes us to grow. Perhaps it is because of the living Unity that we live in with our God and each other. Whatever the answer is; yesterday left everyone feeling humbled by His affection and dazzled by His Love.
We were able to demonstrate something He spoke of 2600 years ago when He said; “Behold (marvel and be astonished) how good and pleasant it is for brothers to live together in Unity…..” (Psalm 133:1)
